For my project, I hope to establish a new system of technology in the classroom by using Smartboards. This is for Berry Shoals Intermediate School in Duncan, SC. The Intermediate school that serves 5th and 6th graders was built in the fall of 2001. The 120,000 square foot school facility has 36 regular classrooms, 8 special education classrooms, art, music, drama, cafetorium, gymnasium, band, and orchestra rooms. The school also features science and computer labs, broadcast and surveillance systems as well as providing students and teachers with interactive software. I believe that smartboads in the classroom will only enhance our schools use of technology and put us on the map like other intermediate schools like us.
